In the usual Microsoft style, the world is being moved towards its new operating system - Windows Vista. Whilst there are many opinions of this Operating System, both positive and negative, there is no denying that by simply looking at Microsoft's history and its launch of operating systems, it is just a matter of time before desktops and laptops will be installed with Vista. New computers that are being sold are already being offered to have either XP or Vista as the installed operating system
There are many features that Vista has, that offer the user a better experience – specifically where the internet is concerned. One feature that Ananzi has focused attention on is the Windows Sidebar. This is a view that is constantly in front of the user and that allows the user quick access to applications – these are known as Gadgets. These Gadgets are either delivering real/live information (such as weather info, stock updates, breaking news and live sport scores) or provide quick access to utilities and applications.
Swift Consulting has developed the Ananzi Gadget which allows the user to enter anything they wish to search on, and it will search the Ananzi search engine - all from a quick, simple point on the sidebar. The Ananzi Gadget will also be added to the default Microsoft Gadget list. The user then selects the Gadget and it is permanently added to the Sidebar. To download the Ananzi Gadget, simply click here and follow these instructions : 1. Download the gadget to your computer and unzip the ZIP file. 2. Make sure your Windows Vista Sidebar is enabled. 3. Double click the gadget. 4. Your gadget should appear in the Windows Sidebar. 5. You can now start searching for your favourite things on Ananzi. | |||||
